Recording a Track from Scratch

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

In this screencast I will show you how I begin writing and recording a new instrumental track. Instead of starting out with my guitar like usual, I start with the bass. Whenever I do this it always adds a different flavor to the song! As usual I use Positive Grid Bias FX2 for the bass amps. You can get your own copy Here:

In Part 2 I show you how I typically add the guitar part. The drums for this track were programmed on Addictive Drums. Once again I used my favorite guitar and bass amp software, Positive Grid Bias FX2.

So these videos show my typical workflow in the DAW, how I record and edit. I hope you enjoyed these videos. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel, Music & Recording and stay tuned for more blog posts and videos!

Note: By clicking the links above you would be taken to Positive Grid's website and I would make a small commission should it result in a purchase.
